Hello all- hope someone can help me.
Bought a new house in Lusk (Chapel Farm) and moved in 6 months ago.
IN early September during the first bit of decent rain a leak appeared in our landing ceiling with the water running down the electric light fitting and onto the carpet.
made about 10 visits to the builder to try and get something done - with very little joy.
a roofer came eventually and spent about 30 mins banging about on the roof- i reckon there was no way he could do a proper job in such a short time.
and so i gets home from work tonight and there is more water dripping down from the same spot. a stain has now appeared around the light fitting.
the leak does not always drip down on the carpet. it seems the rain needs to be falling 'straight down' (iykwim) for it to start dripping.
i am am me wits end trying to get the builder to do something. they are still on site but not for much longer as the final phase has finished.
Manor park website shows that 'Premier' provide the structural insurance. should i try them at this stage?
any advice is most welcome. many thanks.
