Your full HD TV will never look great on Standard Definition TV. It's needs a HD feed to look stunning.
To disagree somewhat - Samsung Series 6 renders SD content excellently.
My sister has that TV and I find SD content looks, at best, mediocre. She has Sky HD and that looks fantastic. HD Ready sets perform better with SD material than Full HD sets do. I personally find Plasma TV's handle SD material better but that's for another thread.
She may mess with the settings and calibrate it correctly then. I have standard Sky and the picture quality is excellent (even after being pushed though long cables).
Edit: Samsung Series 6 is noted for it's rendering of SD content.
Fair enough and it's good that you enjoy it. If and when you venture into the world of HD, however, you will find that SD looks disappointing. Not even the legendary Pioneer Kuro can make SD look well.
Yep...by almost €15 a month.Don't know much about this but we just got a new HDReady tv and we're getting a guy to upgrade our skybox. Does our monthly sky subscription increase with this upgrade also.
