just wondering if anyone knows which of these is the best as regards insulation

I am about to slab the "inside of the outside walls" and will need floor insulation for underfloor heating at a later stage

Kingspan or Xtratherm??
Whats the difference???

They could be more or less the same, depending on thickness + if they are both foil backed which i'd assume so......the most important thing is to find out the u-value of each(rate of heat loss), they are probably quite similar....

u values are both the same.
i have found that the kingspan foil is a small bit tougher: it also has dots on it whihc can help with cutting. but it is a small bit more expensive. i went with xtratherm in th eend. price around, try quintherm as well. they are the same type of product.

I believe kingspan trades on its brand name.
The tin foil is irrelevant. The U ratings are all that matters. that and price.
