Guys,

Need a little help furniture arrived today, and the package above was one of them! It no longer seems to be on display in shops and im nearly certain the bed we got is not the one we had purchased, does anyone have this package and what kind of/colour timber is it?

Regards,
Jolly

Had similar issue with a leather suite a couple of years ago - wifey copped different feet otherwise we'd never have known!
Good Luck...

I'm pretty certain I have that furniture. What I saw in the shop was a walnut colour and that was what I wanted but when the furniture was delivered it was much much darker, more like mahogany. I went back to the branch and told them, the assistant was very nice when I told her and said she would get somebody to call and have a look, but of course that was October and havn't seen or heard anything since and with Christmas etc put it to the back of my mind but now that I see your question I want to check it out again.

By the way what I bought was a bed, chest of drawers and two bedside lockers ?

Do you mind me asking which branch you dealt with or do they have a Head Office because I am getting nowhere with my local branch.

Their head office is in a business park in Swords. You really need to contact their head of Cust Serviceas I did and got refunded within 24 hours.

Hi folks i went up to their branch in cork last saturday where we had bought it, they told me that the colour we had ordered was discontinued so i negotiated a new package with them for the same price. Thanks for the comments.

Have had no joy with Harvey Norman over my furniture. Was the Joshua range a walnut colour. I ordered the walnut colour but it turned out to be a dark mahogony and to make matters worse the bed is the right colour so it stands out. Have been back and forth to them since July. Any suggestions ?

Had the same problem with HN recently. DH specifcally asked at time of purchase would our purchase be identical to the showroom item. Guess what - it wasn't. Our dining table arrived with a butterfly ext (not lift out), couple inches less in width, and table top was made up of wide strips of wood and not the narrow type on show. When we rang to complain we were told that was how they are made now. In addition, the table had several scrapes and dents (probably from the planer) and two big indents on one side where it had been damaged. Luckily they agreed to take it back and gave us the table that was on display. Sadly, it does have some scratches on it and I wince when the sun shines on the table. That was my second and last time to buy from HN. I wouldn't bother again. Flahers2, I'm sorry for your problems. Everything in writing is the best way to go. Good luck!
