Joint accounts in probate process

Hi - how are joint accounts treated in the probate process? I have a joint account with my deceased any & am unsure how this will be dealt with. Will this be considered part of her estate & the value added to the whole value of her estate or is it deducted e.g. 100 euros (without the value of the joint account) or 150 euros (with the joint account) to use a simple example.

Your deceased who?

And the answer is - what was the intention when the account was opened or designated as a joint account?

It was either to pass to the other joint account holder. Or it was one person's money where, for ease, another person had access and control but it was never intended that, on death, the money would pass to the other person.

If you are unsure of the position, try and imagine what the fallout would be if you opted to take the money for yourself.
