In any case the social welfare department have stuck to collecting at post office and reverted back to it immediately after covid. So obviously this proves that having to collect in person cuts out alot of fraud. Its not xenophobia either as irish people would take advantage in the exact same way if they could. Its simply the case that if you make it to easy and convenient it increases the potential for fraud
