Did you ever hear the young ones going to secondary school? They pick up a false accent practically overnight, what is not contrived about that.

If they are actually picking it up, rather than putting it on as a sort of deception, then how is it a false accent?

That are not picking it up they are deliberately putting it on, picking up an accent takes years.
