I assume that as you posted to the savings forum that you are considering a savings deposit?
If you need to ability to withdraw your money then you are going to have to choose an on demand account. The best rate of interest is 5.5% with Anglo Irish for on Demand cash. There is no gauarantee that they will continue to offer the best rate so you will need to continue to monitor rates.

If you do not need to withdraw your cash then (1) Fix for 1 year at 6% with Anglo (best market rate) and then review rates after 1 year or (2) Fix with Anglo at 5% per year for 3 years (best market rate) and then review after 3 years. (IMO, there are no great 5 year fixed rates currently).
