Investec 4.5% fixed rate ending next Thursday

Hi,
Just thought I would let you all know that the 4.5% 1 year fixed rate that Investec are advertising is ending on 25th June.
 
The rate ended at the end of May and then was extended.

Investec have promised to offer the best 6 month and 1 year term deposit rates on the market so their new rate(s) will need to be above 3.5% and 3% respectively.
 
Investec may need to do better than 3%.
NR are paying 3.5% and PTSB are paying 3.3% for a 1-year deposit, according to their websites.
 
Was in Halifax yesterday and was told that they are announcing a 1 year account next Friday which will have the best rate in the market.

Interesting that Halifax say they will offer the highest rate for a one year term deposit. Investec have stated that they will offer the highest rate for the foreseeable future. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Doesnt seem anything new on their website.. Or did you mean this Friday coming?
