Hi Folks
The wife was awarded IP back in February which came into payment in March. This was after the decision of an appeals officer of the SWAO. In June a review form issued which was duly completed by her GP which stated that her condition had worsened since last February.
Last week we received a letter stating she is in their opinion not entitled to IP. Her GP is livid.
A few questions if you don't mind,
Is it not unusual for a review so soon after an award?
Also is an examination by a department doctor not needed to stop payment? Is it normal for such a major decision to be taken as a result of a desk exam?
