I am 60 year old male, on sick benefit, have required prsi contributions. What are the medical conditions to qualify for Invalidity Pension? Is there any advantage in getting Invalidity Benefit rather that Disability Benefit?
 
Main financial advantage depending on what other income the household gets is that you should qualify for the household benefits package. Which is free TV licence, certain amount of free ESB or Gas units and a phone allowance which covers the rental. i think you should also qualify for a free travel pass.
