Home Insurance renewal with KBC

Just renewed policy with Zurich. Then notified KBC, then got a letter this morning from KBC that I owe 30 euro for a processing fee.

This has increased my balance outstanding and now they are going to charge interest on this.

Has any one else got this? Are they allowed to introduce this charge without notifing their customer/client first? Is there any point fighting it?

Darn right there is plenty of point fighting it. Firstly have you contacted them to check as to where it is printed (in writing) that you would be subject to this charge. Personally I always thought that KBC were above the bad practice of the other Irish Banks. It seems that more and more cases are arising where they treat their customers in a very shabby fashion. If there is no prenotification of this charge don't pay it.
 
Apologies have just found another thread on this issue. However the above questions were not addressed in that thread.

So any reply appreciated.
