Currently in our recently purchased apartment the access to the common areas is unrestricted i.e. there is a door which is generally left unlocked. Because of this some local children are popping in and out and hanging about on the stairwell. We put the run on them at every opportunity and lock the door. Unfortunately other residents are not so diligent (3 apartments in the block).
we are hoping that the management compnay/builders will introduce a front door which will lock automatically once shut. We are trying to use an insurance issue given the above, to force their hand. So what would be the best line of approach?
We have had no contact from a management agent yet as nobody seems to have that information so we are dealing with the builder directly.
