Hi Folks,

I am a PAYE employee. I have already filed my 2023 income tax return, earlier in October, through myAccount on revenue website.

I was not able to do much pension contributions in 2023. I now want to do a lump sum contribution in PRSA before 15th November 2024 for tax year 2023.

Question is: can I amend my tax return by 15th November to include this lump sum PRSA contribution and get tax back?

Is there a restriction on what can be amended in tax return and what can not?

Regards,
Malik

Yes. (I'm always confused about the deadline for myAccount users but it seems to be the same as ROS users these days, i.e. November 14th 2024 rather than October 31st 2024?).

Nothing that would affect the claim for backdated pension tax relief if you get it all done in time.

In case it makes any difference to anyone, the deadline date this year is actually 14 November.
