Health Insurance I'm Thinking of Not Renewing

Btw… €80k did not include any procedures
Some years ago he had a complex procedure and that cost €25k on its own. Pre op work and a couple of days in ICU. Followed by 6 weeks in the hospital with numerous specialists, I’m not sure how much that cost.
Plus 2 weeks in convalescence each time.

Consultants admin staff generally manage to check your policies and confirm cover.

In the USA they will have procedures and consultants on a database and they’ll check it before treatment.

Just an update i contacted Laya today and funnily they didnt recommend the Signify Care they Suggested, Prosper was a better choice and cheaper

That's interesting. Prosper is cheaper but overall has higher excesses/shortfalls for hospital treatment than Signify. Everyday medical expenses are better though. Depends on your priority.

Signify €1260
Prosper €1175
Signify Care €1098

My renewal with Irish Life health is due at the end of April. We were paying 327 a month for two adults and a 21 year old. It’s now going up to 358. I’m not paying that. I think we’ve used health insurance once or twice in thirty something years.
I’m thinking of changing to Level Health - seems to be a whole lot cheaper.

Yes He was saying that seeing ur GP u can go 5 times but instead of €25 euro back u get 50% back and that 50% goes on a lot of other things , Dental choices are much better too
