I am no expert but just to say that I had my driveway done in Tobermore stone recently and wanted them to do the front door step with the same blocks but the manager said that he wouldn't as there was a possibility that it could intefere with the foundations and maybe at some point I could end up with a crack underneath. Some neighbours have the blocks for the step and it looks really nice but you would want to consult someone who knows about building first.
