Hello all, I was recently informed that my case is going to the dispute resolution service (DRS) with the ombudsman. Is this standard? Can I read into it as a positive sign or not such a good sign? It could take up to 9 weeks.

No, it's just informing you that your case is moving to the first step.

The Ombudsman will call you to understand your complaint and to see what solution you want.
They will then call the bank and see if they can mediate a solution.

The mediator might inform you that the bank's defence seems reasonable to them or they might inform the bank that your complaint seems reasonable. If you don't reach agreement, then the mediation will stop and it will be sent for formal investigation which will take at least two years.

Ok thank you.
