parishes

All the parishes in Dublin are listed [broken link removed]. You could try picking the ones closest to where you live and ringing to see which contains your home.

D24

Actually, it might be handier if you choose 'Dublin 24' from the Mass times by county drop-down menu here. Presumably all the churches listed have an associated parish, and you can then ring the nearest and ask.

Local Parish

I'd say you belong to the Holy Rosary Church on Oldcourt Avenue...

Re: Local Parish

Just curious, but what exactly is a "letter of freedom" from the parish priest and why would one need this?

Re: Local Parish

Thanks guys..Its actually Firhouse parish.

As part of the paperwork required when getting married in a catholic church you must get a "letter of freedom" from all parishs you have lived in for more than 6 months...its basically a piece of paper stating that the parish has no record of you getting married there, so hence your free to marry...
