I send t a reply today which used the above as template.I left out restaurant references as I felt they might
be seen as too simplistic even though they make the point very well.Any way there maybe some bits I have included

Hi Brendan,
I received the letter attached from BDO today (11th June) in response to my appeal to the AIB response. I have 5 business days to contact the Tracker Panel Independent Secretariat to seek permission to send in a response. I am just wondering if you have any advice as the response is mainly in relation to phrasing, semantics and interpretation of statements. Is it even worth responding to this? I am at a loss so any help would be appreciated.

Received mine today too although I was away and suspect it may have been here a few days. The reply is mostly the same but I made reference to AIBs appearance before the finance committee giving credence to this being a breech of contract and they denied saying that it would be up to the courts to decide that a breech occurred and they still consider it a service failure. I also made reference to being subject to the same marketing material that the bank acknowledged at the FC led customers to believe a tracker would be available for the life of the mortgage. The bank does not accept that such statements were made so I must watch back the videos but I'm pretty sure this is in there.

We have appealed, received the standard reply and responded as per your guidelines. Last week we received further response from BDO with a response from AIB.

It's just a template that is aimed at people who don't really know where to start.

It would be great if you and others wrote a different response and made some extra points.

I also received largely the same reply at the end of last week (to my second letter). I have just called BDO today to request permission to respond. They will send me out confirmation of this in writing by the end of the week they said.

I'm very grateful once again to Brendan for the draft response proposed here and to those sharing their own customised responses. It is very helpful indeed.

Thanks Brendan and All for your advice and assistance so far in relation to this- I wouldnt know how to tackle this otherwise.

I also received Aibs response to my additional submission and the cover letter from BDO saying I have 5 business days to seek permission to submit a reply. Aibs reply in the document received is the same as what is detailed in this thread. I rang BDO to let them know I will be sending in a further submission. BDO will seek permission from the chairperson and I should receive another letter this week - if permission is granted I will have 10 working days to reply.
