The scripted inane chatter to get people to text in is comical on NT.

Nearly as bad as the competition questions Is grass A green or B Purple that all media tend to use.

How much does this add to their revenue.

I know nobody has arms twisted to text or should that be thumbs?, but text bait is not even the word.

Vat is about 6c, possibly 2-3c for other costs. So probably about 18c-20c

It's likely they use an external provider for this service, and so get a smaller cut.

Perhaps look on it as an additional tax on those foolish enough to enter? So the VAT and other taxes collected from that 30 cents goes towards educating a future generation to avoid such competitions
