How long to get a copy of a grant of probate that has been granted?

I want a copy of a grant of probate for someone in my extended family. Probate was granted in mid-2024.

I've been to the Courts Service website, downloaded the form and will send off the form with a postal order for €15 tomorrow.

How long do they typically take to respond? I've heard in general the Dublin Probate Office is very slow.

There is a delay of several months to actually get the probate meeting after submitting application forms, but apart from this they reply quickly.

In the last 6 months period we self applied for and got probate.
After initially submitting the application form, it was sent back to us 3 times to correct errors. In each case the forms were returned back to us after about 1 week.

When probate was granted the documents were sent after about 1 week.

You should get a reply in a week or two.
