I would agree with the above comment. We've stayed there also, booked directly, it's a super site although you'll have to drive to the beach. The ferry from Cork usually gets in around 07:30 (on a Sunday, not much open in France) and many campsites will often state 'arrivals after 15:00 only' which means you may have some time to kill, maybe stopping off in Morlaix and Quimper.I totally agree with Happy Girl and had the exact same experience (saving €1500). We stayed at www.lagrandemetairie.com in Carnac (2.5 hours from Roscoff) and would highly recommend it with children.
Is that place suitable for a 3 and 4 year old?I totally agree with Happy Girl and had the exact same experience (saving €1500). We stayed at www.lagrandemetairie.com in Carnac (2.5 hours from Roscoff) and would highly recommend it with children.
Would you think that two weeks might be too long to spend at that resort (even though it looks great)? Do kids get bored? Is there another resort out there that you might split with in a two week holiday? ThanksI totally agree with Happy Girl and had the exact same experience (saving €1500). 10 days would be perfect, 14 might be on the long side. Maybe consider Bénodet. It's a seafront town/village and quite pleasant. It's 10 miles from Quimper and there's a boat that runs up the Odet river from Bénodet to Quimper also. There are a number of campsites within a few minutes walk of the promenade in Bénodet. This thread might be useful also.Would you think that two weeks might be too long to spend at that resort (even though it looks great)? Do kids get bored?
