Can anyone recommend a shop in the Dublin city centre that would have good value in hill walking gear i.e. walking shoes, boots, jackets etc.
 
It's been a while but the Outdoor Adventure store near the side entrance to M&S on Henry st might be a good place to start. Otherwise I presume that the shops on Capel st are still there selling a whole range of stuff but the quality varies there. Wortha visit though if you are trying to avoid paying for the label.

Try the Great Outdoors on Chatham Street, good selection but can be a bit pricey.
 
Capel Camping, Capel St, opp Louis Copeland, woth a look
