Hearing Aids for Dad?

Hope I'm posting in the correct forum. My dad has very poor hearing in one ear. Recently, he saw an ad for free hearing aids and commented about getting one. This is the first time he has ever mentioned getting an aid. I said I'd look into it if he wanted but now I'm wondering whether he would be eligible for a grant towards one as he is an OAP. Does anyone know whether this is the case? Thanks everyone

If he has a medical card, there may be some assistance provided - as the webpage above states, the level of service can vary from area to area. Enquire at the local Health Centre or HSE office for details of what's available.
