Hi
I also grew up around this area. There are a number of primary schools in the area:St Vincent De Paul Marino, CBS Marino, Corpus Christi, St Mary's(not 100% sure on the name) in Fairview (located off Philipsburgh ave) and a small Church of Ireland school off Grace Park Road.
In terms of secondary schools:
Girls:Maryfield, Dominican College, other schools in Beaumont, Glasnevin etc
Boys:Ard Scoil Ris, Rosmini, St Aidans
Mixed: Gealscoil (near Na Fianna GAA club) and Mount Temple (Malahide Road)
Third Level:
DCU and various other small places that do Plc and repeat leaving and night courses
Local Area
As the previous poster said very busy roads but hugely better since the Port Tunnell opened (HGV's always used Griffith Ave previously)
Lots of pubs, easy access to local shops and shopping centres (OmniPark Santry, Northside in Coolock, Artane Castle etc)
Very easy access to town, takes 15mins on bus to get to town on weekday mornings (loads of buses service this area-16's, 41's 13A, 3,51A, 123,33's, 11, 19)
Last but not least:Bertie lives there!!!!
