got P45 but PRSI was correct but PAYE tax differed frm tax paid: free advice?

Okay, I know nothing about taxes. I earn a really low wage and am still paying PAYE and PRSI. Furthermore, I got a P45 recently and the amount of prsi was correct but the amount of paye tax differed from the amount of tax I paid. Employer is a bit dodgy so not sure. Is there anywhere I can go and get them have a look - for free?

Try contacting your local tax office, some have drop in facilities. I have found that they are really helpful. If you have nothing to hide they are the place to visit.

The Revenue Commissioners. Ask them to do a balancing statement for you.
