Giving gift to daughter for property but complicated

Hi Perplexed,

why not loan your future son-in-law the money now and when he repays you next year you can gift it to your daughter and she can give it to him if she wants?

Obviously him repaying you and you gifting your daughter would be done simultaneously by use of cheques which may never be cashed :)
 
It's just a tough decision to make. But for your own daughter, everything is a go. Hope they have a happy married life.
