Perhaps a stupid question. Would I be able to fit a sofa whose narrowest (height) dimension is 35" through a 32" door?

Yes, Stand the sofa on its end... just make sure its not longer than 6ft 6".

No. Unless it's flexible enough, or you can do something to make it narrower (e.g. removing the feet).

Still say stand it on its end and rotate it 180 deg when going through the doorway.

This should work unless your sofa ends are 35in square!!

35" is the narrowest dimension; the other is 38" I'm just going to have to hope that there's a bit of give in it and that its tiny stubby legs are included in the dimensions.

I don't know, Armada. I'll have to check. Thanks for your help. It's this sort of shape.

The legs are only about two inches. I suppose the other inch or so will be saved by squishing it a bit at the top. Fingers crossed.

It just seems unusual that the lowest/narrowest point of your armrest is 35 in (again measuring from the floor to the top of the armrest). Thats almost the same height as a worktop in a kitchen.

If that measurement is lower and its looks like in the photo that it is.. then you should be able to manoeuver it through.

I haven't actually measured it. The dimensions are the ones advertised. So, you're probably right that the height of 35" is the height at the very back and that the arm rests could be lower. I don't have great spatial awareness, as you can guess"! I'm starting to feel a little more confident now.

I'm wondering if the big cushion yokes are included in the height? Would that be likely? I'll be able to check it out tomorrow. Just thougt I'd sleep a little better tonight if I asked. Thanks, guys.

Well, just think about it.. sofas are made to fit through doorways normally.

Stand the sofa on its end with the armrests going through the doorway first. Rotate it 90 to 180 degs and it should work.

Good Luck!!
