Framed cream and shaker cream kitchen???

Hi,

Has anyone got one of these kitchens installed at all? Are you happy with it? The framed cream kitchen looks very good in the showroom. Its a flatpack kitchen, i don't want to name the company but i'm sure if any of the amm readers have one they will know it well (one of the large diy chains).

The price is very good but the current half price offer ends on tue so I have to make up my mind before then.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
We have shaker cream installed for the last 2 months. Bought it cheaper than the store i think you are talking about. The frame was also better quality. Bought it in Noyeks Newmans. No connection just a happy customer

Is it the very same type i would be buying in diy company i'm refering to? Was it flatpack and did it all fit well together?

Guessing it's B&Q you're referring to here. You can mention company names so long as you declare any association you might have with that company, and of course, refrain from making defamatory comments that might get AAM in trouble.

Its the homebase, framed cream kitchen i'm looking at.
Money's tight so I'll have one chance at putting in a kitchen, whatever i get will be in for a hell of a long time so i'd like to get it right.

The best thing to remember about any purchase of any kitchen is to get the right base. I am a kitchen deisgner and the biggest problem I see with some companies is the chipboard interior and flimsey drawer systems used. They are decorated with fancy soft closing systems that are likely to break down after a year or so. I think before you look at wheather you go for an in-frame kitchen or not look at the products being used inside the press, that's the most inportant for something you want to last you along time!
Apologies i'm not saying anything aginst Noyeks or Homebase or b&q!!
 
Based on some previous threads here.. if you have to pay in full before ordering I would be very wary.. Homebase and B&Q aren't dedicated kitchen providers and so have some problems.. Noyeks would do better I'd imagine.

Yeah,, so if paying up front in full I would pay by credit card if at all possible.. even if this means paying some money, clearing the bill, waiting a few days for the money to clear, then paying another installment etc etc.

Make sure you get in writing what you're due and don't sign for deliveries unless you have checked the goods or else written 'unchecked' in the docket beside your signature.. writing unchecked is more common as delivery guys often aren't prepared to wait.

You could consider asking for an extension of the sale until Friday for example.. if you want to check out more options.


A half price offer does sound good.. but they may be more expensive to start with.. and many places are having sales at the moment.
