FIS still waiting

:mad: i know 1000s of families are in the same boat as ours but has anyone any idea how long fis takes to be processed?we are waiting 20 weeks at this stage and still no word.i've tried ringing several times and cant get through,put on hold 4 times last week in 1 call and then credit ran out. any help would be great

It shouldn't take 20 weeks however first time applications may take longer than re-applications. If it were me I'd write to them straight away, stating PPS number and giving the date of the initial application; I'd ask if they could expedite my claim or if they required any further supporting documentation.

Mama mia, I got my back dated FIS payment last week after a 18 week wait. I called twice during this time and always got a reply very quickly (found after 4pm the best time) After giving them my PPS they were able to tell me howmuch longer I had to wait each time and they were spot on with it. Hope this of help ( I called 043 334 0000) . Hope you don't have to wait too much longer
