Yea, I liked Firefly (the series, it goes without saying that I like the AAM poster) but the first few series of the new Battlestar Galactica was the best Sci-Fi TV series ever made.
IIRC, Wheedon had in mind at least one more, if not two films. With his other commitments and the lack of support for the film it's unlikely they'd get made. Like Firefly, I think it did good dvd business, just not well at the cinema. So there's a chance he could finish the story.
