Firefly (Cancelled TV Show) Fans

oooh - Ill watch that later - Firefly is my all time favourite series - cant BELIEVE it was cancelled!!!!
 
Yea, I liked Firefly (the series, it goes without saying that I like the AAM poster) but the first few series of the new Battlestar Galactica was the best Sci-Fi TV series ever made.

IIRC, Wheedon had in mind at least one more, if not two films. With his other commitments and the lack of support for the film it's unlikely they'd get made. Like Firefly, I think it did good dvd business, just not well at the cinema. So there's a chance he could finish the story.

The actors other committments plus the enormous success of the buffy franchise keeping Whedon busy was part of it also.

If you go to amazon and do a search in dvds of most reviewed the Firefly boxset occupies the top three places.
There is a huge internet following also with fan forums.

Nathan Fillion has done some nods to his Captain Mal character in Castle - showing up in full Captain Mal costume for Halloween and a small odd scene where he ponders 2 blue gloves he is putting on - there may be others.

Us Firefly fans live in hope of a revival.
 
Well fans have got revivals with other shows such as Futurama. My problem is the new Futurama is very poor compared to the original. My fear would be it would miss something if brought back. I guess the knowledge when watching the box set that that's all there is or ever will be actually adds something to the viewing.

Fillion's become a great character actor in movies and in tv too, good to see him getting work. Haven't seen Castle yet, heard some mixed reports, but I should check it out.
