Ferry Bookings to Uk, when to book

Am planning to go over to one of the UK ports with the car from either Roslare or Dublin later in the summer.
Prices seem high right now.
Do the prices fluctuate like RyanAir for example?
Do prices drop nearer the time?
There seem a few sites you can book from but they either all redirect to the ferry sites theselves or the prices are just the same.
Any advice on this?
 
They have specials but only when business is not brisk. They won't have 10 euro tickets like Ryanair though. Midweek and overnight is usually cheaper/est.
