To cuchulain: nuclear power provides about 3% of the world's energy demand. Figure out what the price of oil would be.......If someone tells you that the figure would be more to 6% : Think about that the INSTALLED capacity is not to be mixed up with the USED capacity. Nuclear power plants are rather inefficient compared with all other sources of energy.This is one of the reasons why they need state support.
The pro nukes partys NEVER publish financial figures, to be fair. And a discussion on the viability of nuclear power without the financial background information i.e. the total costs per kwh used by the consumer ...... what sort of propaganda is that?

the programme was a pile of hype and what if's, they got experts on from irish radiological institute etc on radio and they said the scenario in the programme couldnt happen.irish sea may be most radioiactive in world but that isnt saying much ,it might have one part more per billion litres than other sea's(different to ocean?),i dont see anyone telling us not to eat fish from irish sea ,even the green party have said its fine to eat such fish,the radioactivity in the sea is minniscule and well dilluted.
