Excessive condensation following Walls pumped

I had my home insulated and since then we have suffered severe mould which we never had . We got the walls pumped and they put loads of vents . We have been in to the company who then sent some one out , that person said job was not done properly and walls should not have been pumped as there was already insulation put in when it was built in 1991 . Now same company is not answering our calls or message

Hi suzanne,

Welcome to AAM.

What did that person from the company say they would do to resolve the problem?

There'll be folks like @Micks'r who are far better placed than I to diagnose your specific problem, but as a short term protection I would spend a couple of hundred euro on a dehumidifier (or two!) to try and control that problem. FWIW, I've had a similar issue (although nowhere near as severe) since self-installing additional attic insulation and oddly enough, getting a puppy that coincided with telling the kids to keep their bedroom doors closed or he'd chew their stuff! This has obviously limited the ventilation of their bedrooms each morning when their doors used to be left open all day.

I think my solution might just be a stair-gate!

I don't have mould or condensation in the house, but I have noticed on cold nights when I arrive home, the OUTSIDE of the house, North facing, often has condensation/water on the outside wall! It doesn't seem to be a problem though.

That condensation /wetness you see is actually a good sign and shows that the insulation is being effective. This is also the case with very good windows when condensation forms on the outside.
