We currently have European Breakdown Assistance cover from www.breakdowncover.ie. This only covers cars under 10 years old. Does anybody know of any other insurance cover for older cars - ours will be 10 years old next year and we travel to France twice a year. We were hoping to hold on to it for another few years.
 
The AA will do it but it won't be cheap. Also there is a term in the contract that states they will only cover costs up to the value of the car in their opinion. Given the likely costs of rescue from Europe you may find you effectively have no cover.
