Enterprise Ireland new startup grants

The PDC is a great programme for setting up a business. I know someone on it at the mo and they get access to relevant people from solicitors to investment advisors through monthly training days - it requires you to attend 2 days per month for 12 month. They give you a monthly allowance and use of an office and a shared receptionist for the period. So definitely worth applying for.

Well you've certainly made my day! I was informed by a woman from EI that it was taxable.

I'd be most grateful if you could post which section gives the favourable response.

I rang up and they didn't know what it was about after talking to 4 people,I
told them it was a training grant and they just send out the confirmation that
it was tax free.

Other people where told it was taxable by one person and that it wasn't
by another, just call them tell them its a training grant.

I know 3 classes of hothouse and people from each one got confirmation
that it was tax free.
