Email from Paypal - is this a phising email?

I got an email today from 'service@paypal.com' effectively saying my account had been compromised. I didn't click on the links in the email & have sent it on to the real Paypal's security group as afaik I don't have a Paypal account. Am I right in assuming this is a phising email, or could someone have my CC details?

You can be pretty sure this is phishing cinders. I got the same one a couple of times to different email accounts and Paypal confirmed it was bogus so I wouldn't worry about it.

I got one too, they are very authentic in appearance.

Yes, the Phishing e-mails have gotten very good. I even seem to get them now timed with when I bid on ebay auctions! However if you do have doubts, log on to paypal directly to change password or check transactions, [bold]do not click on the links in the email![/bold]

When you get email like this you can forward it to spoof@paypal.com
