Electric shower head leaking

Do any DIY experts on here know why my electric shower has just started leaking - constant dripping from the head, even when the mains power is off to the shower? It's only a new shower, 3 months old. And also, is it easy to fix, or best to get plumber in?
Thanks

I had a similar problem to yours but my shower was two years old. It was the shower in the ensuite and it started constantly dripping. Had to get an engineer out and it was the flow valve that was gone in it. This might be the same as your problem but it would seem strange that it could be gone so quick. Yours should still be under guarantee so you just need to find someone who specialises in fixing your particular make of shower.

What type of shower is it?

If it is only 3 months old, contact supplier and they will organise a service call. If the fault is connected to the unit and not installation, then they will be no charge.

Thanks guys, gonna check with builder to see where he got the shower from. New build house and only in since Nov, was hoping the shower might last a bit longer! Thanks again.

This happened me a while back and interim solution was to put the dials to HOT and to the highest setting e.g 10. This would normally slow down the water flow when the shower was powered on but it had a the same effect in stopping the flow when it was off! hope it helps
