Eirgrid sponsoring the GAA- Why?

I was watching Monaghan V Fermanagh on Saturday night when I noticed Eirgrids name popping up every so often under the clock on the top of the screen. They are also sponsoring the u21 championship.

Eirgrid's website says

We are responsible for a safe, secure and reliable supply of electricity: now, and in the future. My question is this, why is a 100% state owned monopoly spending taxpayers money sponsoring anything at all? I'm not giving out about the GAA here, full marks to them for getting the money in. But what do Eirgrid get out of it?

Many of these companies have a some element of social responsibility & community relations / benefit remit that they must spend a portion of their budget on. Sponsoring something like GAA coverage is an easy way for them to tick that box without spending too much time on it themselves.

It would be nice if the cost was given in the breakdown of the bill we receive from our energy provider.

Now surely as a tax payer you know you have no entitlement to any such clarity as to where your money goes or to the true cost of the provision of a service?
