Efficiency of a 30yr old oil boiler???

My parents have a 30 year old oil boiler that they seem very proud is still operating. They changes the burner about 5 years ago.

Does anyone know how efficient this boiler is likely to be. They go through quite a bit of oil.

even with regular servicing... it would be lucky to be more than 70% efficient...

Change the boiler, the old one owes your parents nothing.

I had one in a house and a BER Assessor said it was going into the calcs at 65% efficincey if thats anyhelp
