Dole eligibility

Hi all,

I have a job offer in February which I am accepting. It's in another country.
I am currently not employed.
Am I entitled to claim the dole in Ireland until February?

If you are looking for, and available for work, then you can apply for jobseekers.

So, somebody who found work but is not yet starting cannot apply?

It is means tested, you can apply if you are actively seeking employment, you can tell them you have an offer in another country in February, if you are entitled you will get the assistance until then, if you have built up stamps from another job then you may be entitled to JSB rather than JSA or dole as it is commonly referred to.
