Does transferring balance cancel card

I am considering transferring my balance on my BOI CC to another provider that is offering 0% on transfers. Does this "cancel" my BOI card? I assume my BOI card would still be available for me to use if I wanted (although I know it would be pointless if I was getting a cheaper rate on the 2nd card).

No and you will be charged stamp duty twice as far as I know if you have two cards at the same time, not sure if they can overlap at all??
