Holding a party in a private venue Oct 31st 2009. The venue say they will only allow us to use a DJ (or musicians) who have public liability insurance.

How would I go about finding DJs (is there any site with recommendations?) and how would I know if they are insured?

Thanks Shesells, did you go and have a listen to him before you booked him or how does that work?

Come to think of it we didn't. Was very impressed with the guys we met on their stand at a wedding fair and booked on that. Their guys are all very professional, most of them are radio djs too. You can have as much or as little input on the playlist as you want. I guess that's why it wasn't so important to see the dj first. I'm sure you could though if you wanted.

We were very very happy with the guy we had, think he was from Waterford, wedding was in Limerick.

Showed that site to the OH last night, he was very impressed, I reckon we will definitely be using it.

Thanks for the recommendation!
