Disposing of old medicines.

Sorry I can't check this out on previous threads as the search facility is temporarily disabled but wondering if anyone can confirm if it is best to dispose of old medicines by returning them to local pharmacy or as is quoted [broken link removed] by flushing them down the toilet! :eek: Do most pharmacies have a disposal policy?

:eek:...and again:eek:!! The pharmacist is the best one to dispose of old medication. Most pharmacists have a disposal policy as far as I know. Think of the poor fish!! There are traces of oestrogen already found in water due to the contraceptive pill/hormone replacement etc. Personally I prefer to eat fish without breasts!:D
