Because the post that I was responding to caused the other thread to be suspended before I had a chance to dismiss its ad hominem and off topic nature. It referred to AE which was totally off topic. Yes I struggled to find a home for my rebuttal and if that thread is reactivated I will move this post to its natural habitat.
 
I'm sure someone like @Marc would know the drag on performance on Irish Pension funds as a result of this withholding tax.
