Decking 4.9 x 2.5 Meters

Got a qoute for decking at the back of my house of 1300 to supply and fit.

Is this reasonable?

The garden falls away from the house probably .75 Meter so there would be some levellig up.

I did a similar job last month, materials (softwood 6" deck planks and supporting joists) cost me €350 incl. delivery from Abwood.

Seems reasonable to me considering there will be some landscaping but as Frank says why don't you chance it yourself. There's not a whole pile to decking jsut get your base right.

Husband did our deck three years ago, even placed a three quather of a circle on one corner of the edge of main deck. Few blue solar deck lights and its deadly.

Just put up a raised playhouse for the kids and did a deck and platform and steps around the house. On very sloping ground, as someone said getting the levels for the posts in the ground is the hardest and most time consuming. B&Q deck boards in athlone special at moment €3. We made the handrail of out 2 by 2 so whole thing extremely cheap.

I think that job should cost max €700 supply, fit & levelling. Sounds far too expensive.
