Creda oven door shattered

Last night hubbie closed door and smashed it to pieces, he had applied minimal force really so not too sure why it happened, it is 6 years old but had been given very little trouble up to now. It needs a fan element replacing now too though.

Is it worth getting these two parts and fitting them ourselves?
Parts direct have both they are based in Ireland, not sure if they in stock though, it would cost 220 for both, anyone hear or deal with these? Is it worth it at this age of the cooker or should we just bite the bullet and get a new one? Not a good tme for us coming up to christmas money wise but dont want to be completely wasting money repairing this if the life of the coker is minimal.

I bought an oven door handle, online, from Appliance Part Direct (in Clonmel apparently) for my 10 year old Creda Concept cooker, no problems - may not be the same crowd you're looking at. If it was me I probably wouldn't spend €220 fixing it; I'd buy this [broken link removed] online for €450 (with a 5 year warranty) and have them take away the old one when delivering.
 
I'd be inclined to agree with michaelm. I repair gas appliances and a rule of thumb I'd use is if the repair of a gas oven (inluding Labour and VAT) is heading north of €200, I advise the customer to consider a replacement. Most recently, a customer opted for the repair because the were builing a new extension, kitchen etc and intended to buy a fancy new built in unit as part of the build that wasn't going to fit in their current setup.

Think might take advice and get a new one, we were hoping to avoid that at this time of year and have a lot of other expenses in... but what can you do.

Sparkrite that site doesn't do the glass oven doors but definately looks cheaper for the element.
Michaelm, that cooker looks good value but its white...will have to see if the stainless steel will be more expensive
