Do you mean that other USB devices are picked up by the specific USB port you connect the MP3 player? If they don't then it may be the port that is not working.I have tried different USB keys but for some reason it does not connect to my laptop.
If the charging icon appears on screen then I would expect the port is working, at least it is providing power.When it is pluged in using the USB key it looks like its "charging" the MP3 but nothing happens even when left for hours.

Since your player is playing music it appears to be functioning correctly but it may be worthwhile following the Creative recovery mode that allows you to format you MP3 player and reload the firmware.

Yes it was but all the stuff was copied from old one onto it. Would this matter?
