Cost of tax consultant

I need to get a tax consultant to determine back taxes owed on a inheritance tax issue. Its a bit complex but I wanted to get a rough idea what type of costs would be involved. I know it will be a case of how long it takes etc, but just if others here have had hired tax consultants for probate type issues and what they cost ?

Ask for a few quotes - impossible to even provide a guesstimate without all the details.

Ask your solicitor to recommend a suitable tax consultant who has experience in inheritance tax issues. If the case is complex it might be prudent, as a separate task, to pay the tax consultant to make the necessary returns to Revenue.
